A Simple Time

A Simple Time is a mail club that celebrates history, and bridges the gap between generations—one vintage delivery at a time. The idea behind this mail club started with a simple need to connect with my elderly father over things that have meaning for him.

Every month, we curate a unique time capsule filled with curiosities, stories, and materials from the year in review. Whether you lived through the decade and want a sweet dose of nostalgia, or you're a history lover wanting to experience the era firsthand, our packages are designed to delight. 

It is our hope that A Simple Time accomplishes two things:

Reconnects Generations:We want to give younger generations a physical window into the past, sparking conversations across the dinner table and helping them connect with the stories of their parents and grandparents.

Cures Mailbox Loneliness:The mailbox has become a source of bills or junk. We want to bring back the anticipation of getting a real, meaningful piece of mail that sparks fond memories and brings a smile to your face.

When you join us, you are stepping onto a timeline. Starting in September 2026 with the year 1950, each monthly delivery moves forward exactly one year. In October, you'll receive a snapshot of 1951, followed by 1952 in November, and so on. Together, we will literally live through the decade month by month, experiencing history exactly as it unfolded. Each month, the envelope you receive will have:

One newspaper-style letter

One functional 5×7 postcard

One “mystery artifact” 2x2 printout

One Trivia Quiz

Two curated bookmarks

One vinyl sticker

The most beautiful thing is that–no matter when you join A Simple Time Mail Club you will have the option of starting your subscription in the current month’s year in review or you can start all the way back with the first year in review—1950!

Holding a piece of history in your hands does something a smartphone simply can't. Our hope is that A Simple Time Mail Club brings a little bit of comfort to our older members, a spark of curiosity to our younger members, and a bridge of connection between them both.
